About Us

233 Life & Style is a sub-site under our newly launched Ghanaian content portal, 233.com.gh and as is evident from its name, it will focus on providing a fresh take on Ghanaian lifestyle. 233 Life & Style will focus on stories that relate directly and indirectly to life in Ghana. This gives the Life & Style team a huge variety of content to cover and we always welcome contributions from our readers, bloggers, industry and brand professionals readily.

Although the focus is mainly on Ghanaian stories, the very global nature of the world these days means and the huge numbers of Ghanaians resident outside of Ghana means stories from around our neighbours in Africa and the world will inevitably also be covered. So in case you do not know about 233.com.gh (and by extension 233 Life & Style), let us tell you a little about us.

233.com.gh. We Love Stories!

233.com.gh is at its heart about telling stories, segmented under several themed sites. These themed sites cover diverse topics, hobbies, interests, professions or industries and the groups of people who have an interest or passion in those stories. Its about good Ghanaian content mixed with content from around the world (we are in a global village after all) that empower, inform and entertain Ghanaians.

There are several ways to tell stories through long form articles, blogs (usually of an informal but also formal nature) and columns, photos, videos and discussions. Content on our site is therefore segmented under subject and theme specific sub-sites; Technology, Lifestyle, Fun , Games and we will be rolling out more such sites gradually over the coming months. Remember also that although we love stories, we also aim to provide content that is more information oriented, but that will come later.

Lets Share Stories!

At launch we will have a few main sections to Life & Style and slowly build out as we grow. As we have said already, we will love to hear from you about the content you would love on our site. Here are the first few sections planned.

This & That

This and That is about bits and pieces of stories, information, news, tips and quick updates about Ghana which do not fit any particular category of content. The only criteria for the content is it has to be about Ghana (people, places, events related to Ghana) and it has to be be suited for fairly short posts.

Food & Drink

Food usually goes with drink and that is the only thing the food blog cares about and will cover. The best way we think to cover this properly is by adopting a ‘no food disallowed’ policy. Yes we know this is a Ghanaian website but we want to inspire a sense of adventure in the consumption of food.

Story Exchange

You had to know this was coming and I did cushion it with a good dose of food and drinks, well at least for those of you who had a snack after reading about the food & drink section. Story Exchange is a section to showcase the myriad and diverse facets of life in Ghana through stories told by us, the people of Ghana.

Q & A

This section of 233 Lifestyle invites our readers through a variety of channels, starting with email and a contact form on our website to asks questions relating to life in Ghana. We will then have professional contributors answer a selection of these questions weekly.
